Kervault respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This page explains how to report copyright infringement and how to respond if your content is removed. This is general information, not legal advice — if you are unsure of your rights, please consult an attorney.
Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe that content on Kervault infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@kervault.app with all of the following:
- Identify the work. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
- Identify the material. A description of where the allegedly infringing material appears on Kervault (for example, the page URL), enough for us to locate it.
- Your contact information. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Signature. Your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may not be processed. We may share your notice, including your contact information, with the user who posted the material.
Counter-notices
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@kervault.app that includes:
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Kervault may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original reporter files a court action within the time allowed by law.
Repeat infringers
Kervault terminates the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We may also remove content and suspend accounts at our discretion where infringement is clear.
