Reviews Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Reviews help homeowners and general contractors choose contractors. Reviews are the opinions of the people who write them, not of Kervault.

Who can review: People who requested a service through Kervault and received an estimate or worked with the contractor.

What a review must be: honest, based on your own experience, and about the contractor named.

Not allowed: fake or paid-for reviews; reviews by the contractor, their employees, family members or business partners unless they clearly disclose that relationship in the review; reviews written in exchange for money, gifts or discounts that require a positive (or negative) opinion; threats, harassment or hate; private information such as phone numbers, emails, home addresses or license plate numbers; spam or ads; content about a different business; and content that is unlawful.

How we moderate: We apply these rules the same way to positive and negative reviews. We do not remove or hide a review because it is negative, because a contractor disagrees with it, or because a contractor is a paying customer. A contractor cannot pay to change, hide or remove a review. Ratings shown on a profile include all published reviews. By default, reviews are shown newest first.

Contractor responses: Contractors may post one public response to each review. Responses must be truthful and may not threaten, intimidate or make false accusations against the reviewer. Contractors may not offer money or other benefits to get a review changed or removed, and may not make groundless legal threats.

Reporting and disputes: Anyone can use Report on a review. We check reports against this policy, usually within 5 business days, and tell the reporter and reviewer what we decided and why. If you believe a review contains a false statement of fact, email support@kervault.app with details; we may ask the reviewer for clarification or evidence. We do not take sides in disputes about the work.

Our own testimonials: Kervault does not publish made-up testimonials. Any quote we feature is real, used with permission, and labeled.

We may suspend accounts that post fake reviews, retaliate against reviewers or break this policy.
